Cold Turkey Competition

The Keeping Kids Smokefree Team are currently holding the second Cold Turkey Competition at Manurewa Intermediate School. Good Luck Teachers!

The Keeping Kids Smokefree team and the Aukati Kai Paipa team from Raukura Hauora o Tainui ran a Cold Turkey Competition in November/December 2007 for school staff and Board of Trustee members.

We had 5 entrants, all from Weymouth Intermediate, and 4 successfully quit.

The Aukati Kai Paipa team from Raukura Hauora o Tainui was available to support the quitters and also provided patches and/or gum to maintain control of cravings and mood swings which come with quitting cigarettes.
